Set within the Andalusian countryside on the outskirts of Seville, is Planta Solar 10, a solar farm. Driving past a blur of green fields soon a majestic tower (115m) begins to emerge, surrounded by the field of photovoltaic’s, which are responsible for concentrating the sunlight onto the tower.
It conjures images of Sauron’s Mordor Lighthouse in Lord of the Rings but with a less sinister, more cheerful disposition.
The solar farm is a pioneer for future landscapes in sun heavy locations, which will become a more common site, however for now it remains a truly jaw dropping destination and well worth a visit.
