May to September, Red, Yellow, Blue by Orly Genger is exhibited in the Park in conjunction with the Madison Square Art program.
Red, Yellow, Blue is a touring sculpture that wraps around three lawns, weaving and undulating between the trees.
Its bright primary colours stand out amongst the natural greens and it can’t help but catch your attention, drawing you in to investigate.
The sculpture is made up from rope hand woven and painted by Genger, and installed on site, responding to the existing vegetation. I hope when it moves to the next location, (deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Boston) keeps its essences but the sculpture will be re-imagined to respond to the new landscape, so it evolves each time.
