Turning on to this single track road carry on up a hill until you arrive at Broomhill Art Hotel. Along this journey there are many things to see, sculptures of anything and everything to grab your attention. However this is just the start.
In the high afternoon heat of the July summer, the woodland is a cool and calming environment to walk around and look at the wide arrange of Sculptures on offer. The gardens are split into two distinct areas: at the top of the woodland, a lovely walk full of new and aged installations covering a spectrum of subject matter, and at the bottom are pieces from the National Sculpture Prize.
An afternoon spent happily strolling around the site absorbing the masterpieces in their magnificent setting is thoroughly enjoyed. North Devon is a beautiful place to visit and Broomhill is a great example of getting off the beaten track and going to see and enjoy something different.
Give the beach a miss and head out to Muddiford.
